Unlike in other Spanish villages, many of the streets are wide in Benamargosa, allowing easy access and parking.
It is set in a valley of orange, lemon and avocado trees by the side of the river of the same name, and although only having a population of about 1500, it has everything to make a superb holiday in the "Real Spain".
The village has a municipal pool (open in summer) with a children's pool and gardens, sixteenth century church, two supermarkets, three banks, post office and other essential amenities.
