A thick creamy drink made from crushing tiger nuts.
Treat yourself to a cold glass of the stuff on a hot summer’s day. The drink is served fresh in ice cream parlours, which leads us on to H number 2
Heat
In England we all bored each other to tears about how cold it was and it was usually a good ice breaker (excuse the pun). Here it is the opposite and instead come June everyone seems content with rambling on about how hot it is for the next three months.
Many times I have been stuck in lifts with little old Spanish women who don’t seem very comfortable with silence, so they fire off about the terrible heat. Usually I make out the “hace calor” then I get lost in a maze of words which all seem to roll into each other.
